About the Position: Serve as the installation Outreach Program Coordinator and initial point of contact for all Army Community Service functional activities.

Duties

Publicize information and resources through available social media sites and platforms. Develop an installation Outreach Plan for organizing the delivery of existing services Conduct comprehensive community needs assessment on an annual basis to identify family support program requirements of the community. Obtain data by means of personal interviews, questionnaires, and consultations with installation service activities. Link a variety of military and civilian support services with those who have the greatest need.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a one-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315. While probationary the incumbent can be terminated with limited appeal rights.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Basic Requirement: A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. OR C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field. Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
