About the Position: Serve as a regional supervisor in the Army Recovery Care and Coordination Directorate (ARCCD), providing professional judgment with a flexible application of a wide range of social science skills. Provides professional, advanced, independent level of skilled social work services to monitor and track military, retired military and family members in support of their rehabilitation and/or transition to civilian life.
Duties
Provide advice, counsel, and instruction to accomplish the assigned functions.
Interview candidates for vacant positions, recommends selections, promotions, or reassignments.
Evaluate overall performance of employees.
Plan, design, and monitor program to reflect DA priorities and to meet the social and cultural needs of Soldiers and Families/Caregivers.
Collect, analyze and compile comprehensive reports on service delivery, budget execution and projection.
Review, research and comment on proposed legislation policy changes, regulations and studies relative to programs mandated by public law.
Requirements
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- You may be expected to travel 10% of the time for this position.
- A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed. Are you willing to serve a one year supervisory probation period?

Basic Requirement for ARCCD Regional Supervisor:
A. Degree: Bachelor's degree (or higher degree) in behavioral or social science, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
OR
B. Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience that provided the applicant with knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
OR
C. Experience: Four years of appropriate experience that demonstrated that the applicant has acquired knowledge of one or more of the behavioral or social sciences equivalent to a major in the field.
In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes organizing data collected from multiple sources in collaboration with members of the interdisciplinary care team; developing and recording services provided to patients; addressing patterns or concerns at the patient, provider, and/or systems levels to promote smooth transition of patients through the health care experience. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
