About the Position: Serve as Strategic planner, staff action officer, and Army representative for matters pertaining to force planning and integration. Responsible for the analysis of plans, policies, and programs in order to establish, influence, and support the Army position on strategic military force issues. Provides senior leadership direction and guidance on corporate communications issues to all elements of the Center.

Duties

Review and analyze Joint and DoD strategic military planning documents. Produce agile and dynamic analytics that enable decision-making throughout the Army enterprise. Review and evaluate Combatant Command Operations Plans for ballistic missile defense, operational and logistical feasibility matters and prepares comments/recommendations for change. Prepare position papers, presents and defends recommendations at highest levels within the Army. Perform strategic analyses of either one time or recurring issues impacting on the operations of the Army in concert with other analysts within the office, or through leading integrated matrix teams of functional ARSTAF and subordinate experts. Formulate long range policy and strategic plans established to meet the organization’s strategic communication and engagement needs. Provide information to Senior Army leadership in preparation of their congressional testimony, meetings and briefings related to Army issues to include force planning and integration. Advise the Director on the status, programs, and/or impact of such policies and plans.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/ Sensitive Compartmented Info. Intelligence Community Dir 704 Clearance.
  • This position requires the incumbent submit to an initial and then ongoing random drug testing.
  • The duties of this position may require occasional travel.
