You will serve as a TECHNICIAN in the SWBD Branch (N45) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER.
The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $156,323)."
Duties
You will serve as the Technician Team Lead responsible for providing leadership in the areas of coordination, project planning, budget execution and overall management of all IC/SM Alarm Switchboards tasks and projects.
You will serve as the principle point of contact and provide total Engineering Life Cycle support for the various Switchboard configurations on all types of Surface Ships.
You will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of employee development, coordination, project planning, budget execution and overall management of all tasks.
You will coordinate requirements, serve as the liaison for project management, and assist in overall Engineering requirements.
You will work directly with various stakeholders to ensure quality life cycle program support is provided.
You will communicate to all levels of personnel including the Program Manager for IC Systems for evaluation and development of program directives, requirements and milestones.
You will forecast and provide input for IC/SM Alarm Switchboards requirements, prepare programmatic reports, justifications, and statistical data for top-level presentations and briefings.
You will develop and update planning and budget requirement documents, define system supportability requirements, coordinate engineering tasks, review and track logistics products produced, and contract support (i.e. Statement of Work).
You will evaluate proposed engineering and design changes, develop and brief readiness assessments and establish management of milestones for baseline and fleet introduction.
You will participate in various working groups and integrated product teams dedicated to development of products for IC/SM Alarm Switchboards.

- You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalency), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing engineering life-cycle support while overseeing management, coordination, and budgeting of projects to ensure effective program execution and communication for the enhancement or improvement of a naval shipboard system.
