Duties
Plan, organize, and coordinate, the accomplishment of combined arms exercises.
Manage, coordinate, and synchronize team workload through the Military Decision-Making Process.
Develop and submit exercise planning estimates and analysis for directed exercises.
Direct and control accomplishment of exercise projects affecting the current and long-range operations of this Regional Combat Training Center.
Analyze the impact of exercises in terms of the projected level of support requirements.
Conduct review of exercise concepts (CONOPS), identifying un-programmed requirements and prepares recommendations on the use of available assets or strategies to obtain support for these requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health and ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 50% of the time.
- During rotational exercises, the employee is required to work a flexible duty hours which includes - weekends, holidays, and shift work consistent of 10-12 hours days for an extended 2-week period or longer.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes performing analytical and technical exercise administration functions required for planning multi-echelon exercises; researching and analyzing exercise objectives that are doctrinally aligned to meet directives and training guidance; collecting lessons learned from each exercise and prepare formal reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
