Duties
Provide technical advice and guidance regarding a wide range of military human resources programs.
Provide technical advice and guidance regarding the maintenance of pay accounts.
Research complex pay complaints.
Compose correspondence as necessary to higher headquarters.
Supervise the daily activities of personnel.
Assign work to subordinates based on priorities.
Identify development and training needs of employees.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes applying military personnel, finance and administrative regulations as well as operations procedures to manage military personnel programs; review military personnel and pay actions and resolve complex military pay issues; and compliance with internal controls and inquiries. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent graduate degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D., if related from an accredited college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.)

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position if the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100 percent.
