About the Position: This position is located on the 2nd floor of the Lincoln Center located at 7800 IH 10 W, San Antonio TX.
Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.
Duties
Represent the Market Director as a recognized expert at high level study groups that involve major MHS business planning reviews and processes.
Develop and maintain liaison with the DHA and Services to ensure that Market QPP plan issues are represented, supportable and executable.
Provide executive level strategic planning advice to and is a member of the Senior Market leadership group.
Provide guidance and oversight to the Market facilities to ensure all business transformation initiatives and re-engineering efforts are implemented and monitored.
Direct and supervise the functions of the Directorate.
Assist Market senior leaders in the preparation of material for appearances before various DoD and MHS high level review bodies on matters relating to the work of the division.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- One-year supervisory probationary period required. A one-year probationary period is required if the selectee has not previously met this requirement.
- This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting strategic analysis to formulate plans on command projects and/or operations; performing qualitative and quantitative methods to assess effectiveness of programs to provide recommendations; preparing and coordinating presentations or responses to higher-level authorities to resolve issues; and conducting business planning activities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
