About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation.

Duties

Cut, bend or form material using hand tools, powered tools, and computer numerically controlled machines (CNC). Interpret and work from highly technical blueprints, assembly drawings, manufacturing templates and engineering dispositions. Fabricate, modify, and assemble a variety of Army, Navy, Air Force and FMS rotary wing aircraft and aircraft sheet metal structural parts, components, and portions of assemblies and systems. Provide technical supervision and technical training to lower grade employees. Check work using precision measuring tools to tight tolerances.

Cut, form, and assemble parts by bolting, screwing, and riveting. Manufacture, and install cylindrical, square, or rectangular objects with constructed fastenings. Use measuring instruments such as flexible and semi-flexible rulers, dividers, and other hand measuring plans and patterns. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating.
