About the Position: The mission of the CCAD is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. We provide worldwide on-site maintenance services, aircraft crash analysis, lubricating oil analysis, chemical, metallurgical and training support.

Duties

Serve as working leader for all branch employees in accomplishing inspections of trades and labor work. Lead a branch of quality control inspectors responsible for inspection of helicopter in-process and final acceptance inspections of repair and fabrication work on rotary wing aircraft parts and structures. Perform inspections on helicopter aircraft parts and structures, inclusive of structural and nonstructural airframes components, equipment, subassemblies and complete airframes that have been overhauled, modified, or repaired by trade workers.

WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed in shop areas subject to shop and equipment noise. Subject to hazard of electrical shock, cuts and bruises, noise and possibility of falling from aircraft and work-stands. Requires adherence to proper safety procedures and use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Working conditions are considered in the evaluation of the position. Requires wearing of safety equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety harness. May require obtaining and maintaining a security clearance and valid passport, availability for TDY (on 24 hour notice) and on call duty.
