About the Position: The mission of the Corpus Christi Army Depot is to overhaul, repair, modify, retrofit, test and modernize helicopters, engines and components for all services and foreign military customers. Corpus Christi Army Depot (CCAD) is the Army's Center of Industrial and Technical Excellence for Rotary Wing Aviation.

Duties

Plan and coordinate subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis. Assign work to employees and provide technical direction and/or assistance in accomplishing the work. Plan and establish overall leave schedules; determine training needs of subordinates and arrange for its accomplishment.

Requirements

  • This position requires a background investigation.
  • A pre-employment physical is required.
  • This position requires you to wear respiratory equipment.
  • THIS IS A TESTING DESIGNATED POSITION: This position is covered by the Civilian Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • Incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R, Condition of Employment for certain civilian positions identified as critical under the Drug Abuse Testing Program.
  • This position is supervisor. A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specification, etc. (includes blueprint reading)Ability to lead or superviseAbility to Use Hand Tools, Power Tools, etc., for Metal WorkDexterity (Assembly Disassembly Reassembly etc)Knowledge of Equipment, Structure, Materials, etc. (includes constructing repair, and forging)Layout and Pattern Development (includes Geometric Projection and Triangulation) PHYSICAL EFFORT Long periods of exertion, prolonged standing, climbing, working in cramped or awkward positions; reaching, lifting and bending. Weight lifted may be up to 35 pounds without assistance, and over 35 pounds with assistance from another worker or weight handling equipment. WORKING CONDITIONS Works inside (occasionally outside) in noisy surroundings. Exposed to hazard of injury from cuts when working with sharp metal edges. Subject to all weather conditions. Danger of falling material from overhead. Subject to skin rash in handling plastic resins and fiberglass materials, cuts, bruises, and burns. Required to wear protective equipment, respiratory equipment, and/or clothing,(safety shoes, gloves, ear protection, etc.) as necessary. working conditions have been considered in evaluation of the position.
