Qualifications

 NOTE:  You must meet qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as overusing a water program, serving as a national and technical expert on the Clean Water Act (ACW), judicial issues and/or CWA water policies and programs, developing, reviewing and implementing environmental technical policies and supporting tools. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas:  Knowledge of the Clean Water Act Skill in developing regulations and guidance documents. Skill in managing large, complex, and time sensitive projects. Ability to perform policy analysis Skill in conducting oral and written briefings Ability to represent EPA in partnerships and advise leadership of outcomes. Skill in communicating with various audiences. Ability to manage resources. Ability to develop relationships with various levels of government. Ability to lead and management resources. Skill in oral communication. Ability to represent EPA in partnerships and advise leadership of outcomes Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
