This position is in the Office of the Administrator (AO), Office of Policy, Office of Federal Activities. Qualifications

To qualify for the GS-15 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-14 level defined as advising on National Historic Preservation Act section 106 compliance policies or processes; evaluating environmental impacts to cultural or historical resources; and leading or making recommendations for historic preservation projects. Your answers to the online assessment will be used to evaluate your competencies in the following areas: 1) Knowledge of the National Historic Preservation Act and other historic preservation laws, including all related Executive Orders and guidance; 2) Ability to advise on the assessment, modeling, and analysis of environmental impacts to cultural and/or historical resources; 3) Ability to plan, organize, and direct team efforts; 4) Ability to collaborate with a diverse group of professionals; 5) Skill in program evaluation; 6) Ability to assimilate scientific information into the development of policies and mission statements; 7) Knowledge of resource management regulations, guidance, and processes; 8) Skill in strategic planning. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
