This position is located in the Office of Investigations, Complaints Management and Investigations Division. As an Supervisory Investigative Specialist, you will oversee and direct the day to day operations of a team of Investigative Specialists, who are engaged in the conduct of highly complex and controversial integrity, security compliance, inspection and other enforcement issues.

Duties

Supervises Investigative Specialists who conduct worldwide, extremely sensitive, long and short term investigations involving allegations of employee misconduct, corruption and/or fraud and other sensitive and high profile investigative matters. Oversees preparation of reports of investigations for civil, or administrative proceedings; reports investigative findings, as necessary; and assists authorities in the development and execution of judicial and/or administrative actions. Ensures that investigations are conducted in a timely manner, verifies accurate and concise investigative reports, and assures that all investigative procedures and findings conform to applicable Federal, DHS and USCIS policy. Develops and implements new enforcement strategies, briefs senior officials, and other key personnel on a frequent basis. Prepares and presents briefings and conducts staff coordination to gather and disseminate needed information to audience. Utilizes case management systems and provides technical assistance or contributes to investigations conducted by other OI personnel and investigators from other agencies and maintains necessary liaison with appropriate authorities and agencies.

The qualifications for this position must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/09/2024. Current Federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the lower grade or equivalent grade band in the Federal service. The Time-in-Grade requirement must be met by 11:59 PM (Eastern Time) on 09/09/2024. GS-14: You qualify at the GS-14 level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, which is equivalent to at least the GS-13 level in the federal government, that equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. You must have experience performing the following duties: Handling complex administrative affairs investigations; conducting investigations involving alleged government employee misconduct; developing investigative plans and strategies; analyzing investigative policy; making recommendations for program improvement.
