You will serve as a CONTINUOUS PROCESS IMPROVEMENT SPECIALIST in the MRO PRODUCTION DEPT, PERFORMANCE OPS MGMT & SUPT DIV of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.

Duties

You will consult with civilian or military personnel to obtain or exchange information to accomplish work-related activities. You will extract and compile valid and accurate data to present written recommendations to management. You will conduct risk analysis of new or current systems or processes to identify problems and recommend solutions. You will use data processing software (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, or similar software) to create reports. You will collaborate with Program Managers, Integrated Program Team (IPT) Leaders, and Customers to ensure development of accurate short and long term work plans.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position requires rotating shift work.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing Lean Six Sigma Lean strategies to improve the effectiveness of production organizations and/or administrative support organizations. 2) Developing solutions and measuring the implementation of the recommended processes to sustain continuous improvement. 3) Analyzing and evaluating productivity, effectiveness, and efficiency of program operations. 4) Providing leadership and technical support in the creation, management, and sustainment of a methodical approach to increasing quality and performance. 5) Recognizing improvement opportunities in defining project scope, priority and project staffing. 6) Analyzing and facilitating recommendations for process improvements to improve quality, reduce costs, and establish appropriate process metrics and process controls. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or
LL.M., if related
