You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INVENTORY MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the Logistic Support Division, Ordnance Operations Department of NMC CWD DET SEAL BEACH.
Duties
You will be responsible for the management and supervision of all inbound and outbound logistics movements supporting ammunition and explosive support for NMCPAC CWD Unit Seal Beach.
You will be responsible for the direct oversight and issuance of all required documentation to support the surface wide distribution and movement of ammunition and explosives over Department of Transportation governed public routes.
You will ensure advance reports of shipments (REPSHIP) are issued in compliance with all Defense Transportation Regulation (DTR) requirements.
You will be responsible for planning shipments segregated according to destination, required delivery date (RDD), compatibility requirements, regulations, and urgency of meeting critical deadlines.
You will study, investigate, and analyze problems in the quality and quantity of work and operating effectiveness of the unit and takes necessary corrective actions.
You will analyze, interpret, and present financial and statistical information to management concerning ongoing, future, and potential workload for the department.
You will track operational requirements, prepares detailed reports, schedules, and participates in all briefs, and serves as the point of contact to customers and commercial carriers.
You will provide leadership in personnel administration by prompting management relations, fair employment practices, training/promotions opportunities and incentive awards.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: evaluating inventory methods and procedures to develop plans in improving the efficiency and economy of the distribution, acquisition and storage operations of ordnance.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
