About the Position: Serves as Logistics Systems Analyst with assigned responsibility for analysis of problems relating to the development, improvement and evaluation of the Department of the Army Food Service Program/Systems. Performs analysis, coordinating, monitoring, and tracking of information related to future and on-going development and integration of food service concepts.
Duties
Serves on ad hoc study teams working with functional and technical personnel in evaluating and developing doctrinal concepts and techniques to arrive at requirements for food service support of Army forces in current mid-range and future operations.
Prioritizes activities to ensure fully coordinated staff actions represent the Director of Operations.
Independently plans and carries out duties, determining the scope and objectives of assignments and resources required, applying originality, insight, and creativity in the identification and resolution of problems.
Conducts manpower studies, analysis, and provides recommendations in support of establishing Modified Table Of Organization and Equipment (MTOE) for personnel and equipment requirements.
Initiates, evaluates and takes appropriate staffing actions as directed in the areas of training requirements and methodology, dining facility concept of operations, design, and equipment, evaluation of current operations.

- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes managing food service programs in developing plans to integrate logistical support of operations; conducting site visits and inspections to subordinate units; providing food service reports to higher echelons of command; utilizing current logistics and financial systems to monitor, input, and track supplies, equipment, and status of funds; and developing budget data to support food service funding requirements.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
