Duties

Inspects complete systems electrical circuits/components, complete mechanical recoil mechanisms, carriages, mounts and associated hydraulic systems and interrelated components for tank autoloader system. Performs a variety of in-process examinations on precision critical dimensions to determine applicable method of completion. Have the ability to read and interpret written technical data package, military/federal standards, specifications, work/job orders and the ability to determine inspection requirements, in process inspection points for critical interfaced dimension. Use advanced shop mathematics, algebra, geometry, trigonometry to compute interrelated dimensions on complex systems and assemblies.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health, ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
• Due to the nature of this position, employees may be required to work both planned and unscheduled overtime.
• This position requires the employee to use personal protective equipment provided by the employer.
• Position may require up to 5% travel (TDY).
• Position may be filled as a term appointment NTE 2 years . Term appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
• Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a term appointment will be appointed/converted into term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
