This position is part of the Defense Human Resources Activity. The incumbent will be responsible for administering the Reasonable Accommodations and Disability Programs. As the Agency's Reasonable Accommodations program manager, incumbent serves as the expert for all DHRA Reasonable Accommodations Requests, provide subject matter expertise, analysis and assistance in all stages of the reasonable accommodation process.

Duties

As a EQUAL EMPLOYMENT MANAGER at the GS-0260-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Serves as the subject matter expert evaluates EEO programs ensuring compliance with the EEO guidelines, policies, and principles as prescribed by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) in the creation of a model EEO program pursuant to the EEOC's Management Directive 715, Management Directive 110 and 29 C.F.R. 1614. Prepare statistics and analyses for the EEOC Management Directive 715 and the 462 Federal Equal Employment Opportunity Statistical Report of Discrimination Complaints Annual Reports. Oversee Informal and Formal Anti-Harassment Complaint Processing. Provides recommendations on levels of staffing and funds to be devoted to all EEO associated programs. Supervises a staff ranging in grades/classifications up to GS-14 and performs the full range of supervisory functions to include planning/assigning work, setting overall priorities, establishing performance standards, evaluating performance, providing counseling/advice on work and administrative matters. Assist managers, supervisors, and employees as an informal way to resolve a broad scope of workplace issues to include complaints primarily through mediation, facilitation and sensing sessions, which assist in resolving concerns at the lowest possible level. Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, Plans work to be accomplished by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules for completion of work. Evaluates work performance of subordinates; gives advice, counsel, or instruction to incumbents on both work and administrative matters; identifies developmental and training needs of incumbents, providing or arranging for needed development and training; finds ways to improve production or increase the quality of work directed; and develops performance standards.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-13, if you fulfill the following qualifications: A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Processing a wide variety of complaints by fact-finding, analyzing, problem solving, and expert judgment to determine causes and resolution of equal employment problems Ensuring compliance of laws, regulations, and agency policies for administering EEO programs Assisting in the preparation of the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP), Directive 715, 462, and No Fear reports Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
