You will serve as a BUSINESS OPERATIONS BRANCH MANAGER in the Business and Strategic Planning Office of PSNS and IMF.
Duties
You will be responsible for supervising the management of all shipyard work on ship availabilities/projects assigned to PSNS and IMF within their area of responsibility, such as carrier, submarine; process improvement, training and development.
You will identify current and future position requirements and manage their role in the recruitment process to attract, develop and retain a high-caliber workforce, following all laws, regulations and policies.
You will plan, analyze, evaluate and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of business and operating programs.
You will provide all resource and financial estimates for annual funding needs and future budget years for all command work within their area of responsibility such as carrier, submarine, or other productive work.
You will coordinate and manage business information, major briefings or meetings at the Command and conduct business case analysis and data research.
You will coordinate with all shipyard departments and command leadership regarding the acceptance of new or additional work items and/or new availabilities or projects.
You will monitor project financial performance and ensure that projects are executed within budget.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Analyzing business processes to develop and implement strategies in order to meet production goals and initiatives for ship maintenance and repair work. Examples of qualifying experience may include: induction of work, analysis of project capacity and shipyard capabilities, negotiation of the acceptance or rejection of work, budgeting mission and reimbursable funding or funds administration.
