About the Position: As an Administrative Officer, you will manage all administrative actions and programs, and provide administrative support services for the organization. This position is located at HQ US FORSCOM at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
Duties
Provides staff direction and coordination of all staff actions and projects under the purview of the Adjutant General (AG).
Coordinates Congressional, staff, and command actions with lateral and higher headquarters.
Fosters relationships, coordination, assistance and interplay with key military and civilian personnel to discuss matters of policy administration.
Analyzes and interprets rules, regulations, directives, correspondence and related publications regarding administration to include keeping apprised of significant changes and developments.
Performs special or one-time studies, surveys, inspections, or investigations of personnel or administrative matters within the organization.
Maintains records to ensure civilian performance ratings and military evaluation reports are completed in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
Conducts periodic inspections and provides advice and guidance regarding program deficiencies or areas that do not comply with regulatory requirements.
Reviews and evaluates completed staff actions for overall quality, appropriate levels of coordination, consistency, logic, and compliance with policy.
Manages the overall supply needs, services, material movement, real property, and budget, and travel supply printing, training and contract requirements.
Facilitates on-the-job training; solves management-employee problems; sets work schedules, evaluates performance, recommends promotions and awards, approves requests for leave, and counsels and takes disciplinary action as required.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes managing administrative actions, programs and support service functions for the organization; providing administrative support and advisory services to the Adjutant General (AG) and command staff; AND supervising military and civilian personnel assigned to the Administrative Office. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements and minimum qualification requirements prescribed by OPM within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement.t
