About the Position: Serves as a IT Specialist (Network) GS-2210-12 for the Joint Activities Command at Fort Liberty, NC. This is a permanent position.

Duties

Coordinate C41 and RDTE actions to support AVTEG’s Data Link architecture. Develop and manage Multi-TADIL architectures for critical operations and training. Operate aerospace control system to maintain data link and surveillance capabilities. Research and develop C4I solutions tailored to AVTEG’s needs. Lead interagency groups to resolve interoperability and develop technical solutions.

Requirements

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (SCI) security clearance
• In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, employee must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to appointment and periodically thereafter
• TDY required is 30%.
• May be subjected to short notice recall. Must reside within 50-mile radius of duty location.
• May be required to work uncommon tour of duty hours, working either fixed or rotating shift which may include evenings, weekend and/or holidays outside of a normal M-F 8-hour schedule.
• Lifting up to 50lbs. in the regular performance of duties.
• Pre-employment deployable physical required.
