You will serve as a GG-0132-13 Intelligence Specialist for COMNAVSPECWARDEVGRU at Dam Neck, Virginia Beach, VA, where you will provide oversight, assessments, and recommendations to support plans, policies, procedures, and concept development related to counterintelligence operations and activities.
Duties
You will serve as an Intelligence Specialist (Counterintelligence) and perform assigned tasks in support of the Command’s mission.
You will coordinate information and resource requirements, decisions, authorizations, and recommendations with executive-level/senior representatives of Department of Defense and inter-agency partners.
You will plan, develop, and coordinate/de-conflict operations and activities to support integration of inter-agency partners and the conduct of joint operations/activities in support of Command requirements.
You will provide leadership detailed and in-depth recommendations which factor potential contingencies.
You will evaluate assumed risk of current plans, policies, and operational activities, and recommend courses of action to ensure optimum resource utilization and effective mission accomplishment.
You will prepare and maintain all required operational, supporting, and administrative documents relating to the project and program.
You will utilize a high degree of interpersonal and communication skill, both oral and written, to express technical and complex concepts in layman’s terms.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
- This position requires a periodic polygraph examination.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Required to travel on military or civilian aircraft, waterborne craft, deploy onboard ships, or serve at remote sites as needed.
- Work is performed outdoors under normal weather conditions for the area and time of year, and involves varied terrain and conditions.
- Work requires regular and recurring field visits which involve long periods of standing and walking over uneven surfaces, climbing in/out of/on/around machinery, vehicles, assault craft, aircraft, and ships.
- Must be able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to swim.
- May be exposed to hazardous or hostile environments.
- May be required to travel or perform temporary additional duty approximately 40% of the time, in executing assigned technical advisory or consultation duties, both CONUS and OCONUS.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector, such as:
1. Provide oversight, assessments, and recommendations to plans, policies, procedures, and concept development related to counterintelligence operations/activities.
2. Employ counterintelligence tactics, techniques, and procedures in support of special activities as they relate to the organization's operations.
3. Coordinate information and resource requirements, decisions, authorizations, and recommendations.
4. Use effective verbal and written communication techniques to produce products, present briefings, and participate in or chair working groups and conferences.
