You will serve as a Supervisory Intelligence Specialist (System Quality Assurance Lead) in the N2 Intelligence Directorate, Quality Assurance Division of COMMANDER UNDERSEA SURVEILLANCE.
All Defense Intelligence positions under the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS) are in the excepted service by specific statute, 10 U.S.C. 1601. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status.
Duties
You will identify, classify, localize and report acoustic signature components.
You will distinguish acoustic signature components of intelligence interest from the natural or man-made acoustic signals in the background ocean environment.
You will classify and report acoustic signatures.
You will develop new analytic and operational techniques and refine existing ones to further the understanding of, and ability to exploit, evolving foreign acoustic signatures.
You will be responsible for evaluation and validation of all Integrated Undersea Surveillance System (IUSS) contact generated worldwide.
Requirements

- You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
- Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

- This position requires periodic polygraph examinations.
- This position may require a 2-year DCIPS trial period.
- Shift work and/or occasional overtime may be required.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Identify, classify, localize, and report acoustic signature components for the intended use of designated personnel; 2) Develop new analytic and operational techniques and refine existing ones to further the understanding of, and ability to exploit, evolving foreign acoustic signatures; 3) Provide analytical reports that summarize the operational performance and impact of the enterprise; and, 4) Evaluate, validate and reconstruct acoustic intelligence analysis and intelligence production in answer to current requirements from operational forces and intelligence community customers.
