About the Position: This position serves as a Field Artillery Concepts and Experimentation Analyst, DE-0301-4, in Army Futures Command (AFC), Long Range Precision Fires Cross Functional Team (LRPF CFT) located in Fort Sill, OK. Duties
Provides small team leadership (non-supervisory) by planning and organizing individual and team workload in the review, staffing, and refinement of FA products
Responsible for the coordination and development of future weapon system concepts, as well as the review of functional concepts, and Operational and Organizational concepts.
Forming, leading, and providing value-added participation in Futures Integration Teams and other work groups.
Supports the program by leading, designing and managing experiments to support current and future concept and capabilities development across the doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leader, personnel, facility, and policy (DOTMLPF-P) domains.
Serves as a Field Artillery concept development, and experimentation subject matter expert for the LRPF CFT.
Skill in writing clear, concise communications and other staff actions such as position, information and decision papers, general office correspondence, explanations, reports, analytical assessments, professional forums and similar documents.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
- This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance.
- This position requires Drug Testing as a Condition of Employment
- Business Travel (TDY) may be required up to 50% of the time.
Qualifications

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Planning and/or organizing individual and team workload in the review, staffing, and refinement of Field Artillery products; 2) Developing accurate problem statements, and/or plans of actions and milestones (POAM); 3) Working knowledge of the Field Artillery warfighting function to include Field Artillery systems and subsystems; 4) Supporting capability DOTMLPF-P assessments and lifecycle management.
Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (DE-03 / GS-13).
