This position is part of the Deputy Administrator for Naval Reactors, Department of Energy. National Nuclear Security Administration Demonstration Project: This position is covered by the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) Demonstration Project. The NQ-03 pay band is equivalent to the GS-13-14 grade levels. Duties

As an Information Technology Specialist (Cloud Computing Cyber Security), you will:

Requirements

  • If you are a current federal employee, appointed under the direct-hire authority, you will be given a new appointment.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or equivalent in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as: Professional knowledge and experience which demonstrates technical skill in coordinating the development and compliance assessment of cyber security requirements and operating procedures; securely implementing and operating cloud-based technologies, capabilities and protection (e.g., Kubernetes, OpenShift, Azure Key Vault, AWS Key Management Service). IT Competencies: GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail. Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
