About the Position: Works under the broad policy and general administrative direction of the US Army Medical Center of Excellence (MEDCoE), G-35 Future Operations/ (FUOPS), Branch. Exercises discretionary judgment in discharging assigned responsibilities with wide latitude in execution. Determines and recommends policy or action involving readiness, force integration, mobilization, plans and major projects.
Duties
Responsible for the planning, management, coordination, integration and implementation of future operations.
Manages all administrative support for the division to include files, regulation development, property accountability, equipment procurement, information technology, personnel administration.
Provides oversight of daily coordination of activities within the Emergency Operations Center during potential and/or actual natural disasters, national emergencies and exercises.
Evaluates exercises for continuity, consistency with requirements, and work ability.
Determines and recommends policy or action involving readiness, force integration, mobilization, plans and major projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Individual is on-call status and may be required to work extended days, night shifts, and weekends during periods when the EOC conducts and alert, training exercise, or is activated.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in mission, management, staffing and operation of an Emergency Operations Center and/or developing of current and future operational concepts; conducting analytical studies to resolve problems; preparing and submitting after action reports and lessons learned, as required; developing contingency plans and maintaining various peacetime and wartime contingency plans; and providing recommendations to improve mission efficiency.
