About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Strategic Systems Support Element (SSSE), Alexandria, Virginia.

Duties

Coordinate practices and procedures to ensure adherence with local Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and higher authorities’ regulatory guidance. Perform cost studies and review workload data and related contracted services costs. Maintain close coordination with contractor management to clarify interpretations of contract provisions, associated costs, and problem resolution. Work with contractors to develop solutions to complex IT system problems. Expert knowledge of state-of-the-art computer systems security requirements in sufficient depth to advise on modifying and adapting existing security approaches to meet special requirements. Identify training needs of employees, providing or arranging for needed development and training that will assist the employees in meeting their personal as well as the organizational goals and objectives. Provide technical requirements and descriptions of the work to be accomplished. Evaluate contractor performance utilizing specialized technical expertise in multiple functional areas.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Two year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • In accordance with Change 3 to AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, individual must successfully pass a urinalysis screening for illegal drug use prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret (TS) security clearance based on a T5 investigation/Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
  • Requires Temporary Duty (TDY) travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Must pass the organization's Personnel Reliability Program which includes credit check, drug screening, polygraph and psychological evaluation.
  • Individual must sign a statement attesting to the understanding of DCIPS provisions as indicated in AR 690-13.
  • Required to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OG-450.
