About the Position: As Staff Action Control Officer (SACO) for the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience and Readiness (DPRR), Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff (ODCS), G-9, with responsibility for planning, managing, coordinating, and executing the mission, functions, and activities of DPRR.

Duties

Provide guidance to the Directorate of Prevention, Resilience and Readiness (DPRR), on Army-wide taskers and policies. Provide guidance to staff principals and/or action officers on how best to articulate official Army decisions. Serve as the expert for the automated HQDA Task Management Tool system for the organization. Develop and/or maintain close working relationships with higher headquarters, Army Staff agencies, to keep abreast of issues and concerns that may impact issues affecting the organization.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
  • Temporary business travel up to 5%.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. (GS-13) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Specialized Experience, GS-13: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting with conducting analyses of incoming staff actions and/or decision correspondence; assisting with managing and/or presenting information to include recommendations by oral and/or written means; and assisting with preparing status reports to staff and/or higher-level officials. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service. (GS-12) Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
