Duties

You will evaluate cases relating to violations of laws, rules or regulations to check compliance with regulatory standards. You will lead investigative teams to evaluate allegations of fraud, waste, abuse and or mismanagement made against individuals. You will offer advice and guidance to senior and executive level management officials on the efficiency and effectiveness of operating programs. You will create written briefings to make recommendations for corrective action.

Requirements

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting administrative investigations and targeted inspections, identifying relevant issues and facts, conducting in-depth analysis, and offering sound conclusions and recommendations in accurate investigation and targeted inspection reports; 2) Participating in an inspection program that assesses compliance of Region and Installation programs with applicable regulations to detect deficiencies, improprieties, and inefficiencies; 3) Receiving complaints and analyzing information to identify relevant facts and issues for determining the appropriate course of action that is consistent with government regulations and tracking cases to resolution; 4) Assisting in the evaluation of strengths of internal controls within the organization in preparation of the development of Manager's Internal Control Certification Statement; 5) Preparing inspection reports detailing findings and recommendations for leadership in Command Inspections; 6) Providing guidance for installation staff on the execution of the Manager's Internal Control Program.(NOTE: Your answer must be supported by information in your resume.
