You will serve as a SUPERVISORY INSPECTOR GENERAL in the INSPECTOR GENERAL (IG) SUPPORT LINE ELCHELON III COMMAND of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG SYSTEMS COMMAND PAC.
Duties
You will be responsible for identifying, preventing, deterring, and mitigating matters of fraud, waste, abuse, and mismanagement.
You will ensure all complaints received are processed as prescribed by the Department of Defense Office of the Inspector General and the Office of the Naval Inspector General regulatory guidance prior to case closure.
You will develop and issue policies and procedures for the Management Internal Control Program.
You will conduct interval reviews and evaluations to detect, assess, and promote recommendations to correct deficiencies, poor internal controls, and inefficiencies that impact the command morale, resources, or mission accomplishment.
You will implement compliance and risk identification inspection techniques to supplement the NAVFAC Inspection program.
You will assign work based on priorities, selective consideration of difficulty, requirements of assignment and capabilities of employees.

- Must complete annual requirements as defined by the Office of the Naval Inspector General for investigative certification.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
- Must be able to successfully complete the NAVINSGEN Basic Investigations, Hotline Investigations, and Military Whistleblower Course within first year of selection.
- Must complete and maintain an investigator certification in accordance with NAVINSGEN.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Planning, conducting, and managing NAVIG programs such as IG Investigations, Inquiries, Command Inspections, and Command Evaluations; 2) Generating effective and credible reports of investigations/inquiries; 3) Effectively compile and analyze large/complex data and information; 4) Supervising, Managing, and mentoring IG investigators in the effective and timely execution and conduct of IG programs; 5) Leading, managing, and overseeing the work of others in executing IG programs for their assigned commands.; 6) Developing innovative techniques, processes, and approaches for complex Inspector General (IG) assignments; 7) Performing trends analysis/identifying command patterns of vulnerabilities to determine effectiveness of IG program execution throughout the Area of Responsibility (AOR); 8) Manage NAVFAC PAC AOR audits conducted on NAVFAC PAC commands by GAO, DODIG, and NAVAUDSVC.
