About the Position: Serves as a Visual Information Services Coordinator. Responsible for the customer service and the administration of VI products services for local production and support transferred out to other Visual Information activities for competition or joint support.

Duties

Receive visual information (VI) work order requests in person, telephonically, by email, or by customer submission through the VI automated management software. Operate and administers reservations/resource management systems through automated systems such as Visual Information Ordering System (VIOS). Assist in determining accuracy of work order request descriptions, sketches, and justifications. Compile approved work orders for submission to appropriate personnel for completion. Mitigate customer complaints or concerns, identifies probable cause, and recommends corrective action to avoid potential recurrence.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes maintaining and updating an archive of visual information work requests; identifying and advising on customer visual information goals and objectives; and assisting in screening requests for compliance of regulations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). OR Education: I have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform the work of the position, such as Communications, Audio Engineer or Performance Studies. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the first year (total graduate semester hours minus 18) by 18. Add the two percentages. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Attention to DetailOral CommunicationWritten Communication Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-7).
