About the Position:
Serves as the Chief of the Congressional Inquiry Division, exercising full in the formulation and execution of policies, plans, programs, and procedures in support of the Division mission. The position is located at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA.
Duties
Direct the coordination and formulation of official responses to members of Congress.
Develop contingency plans for unforeseen emergencies of national significance.
Maintain effective working relationships with members of Congress, Congressional staff members, the Army and DoD leadership, the DA Secretariat and Army Staff.
Provide advice to leadership concerning issues of mutual concern and importance to members of the United States Congress and their constituents.
Manage the overall division workload to ensure accountability through subordinate supervisors.
Through subordinate supervisors, assign, coordinate, and review the work of division personnel.

Specialized Experience: Your resume must describe at least one year of specialized experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as: provide advice and assistance to senior leaders on all aspects of Congressional Inquiry; formulate official responses to members of Congress: employ decision making to address critical issues such as the release of information concerning casualties, national or international disasters involving military personnel; recommend changes to correct or alleviate problems which impose undue hardship or injustice to constituents; and utilize leadership skills to manage a division workload by developing goals, assessing work plans, and reviewing the work of subordinates. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14).
