This position is located within the Fort Eisenhower Business Operations Division. Hours of operation will be identified upon interview with hiring official. Duties

Performs a variety of routine manual tasks in a kitchen or dining area; sets up glasses, silverware, dishes, trays, condiments, and cold menu items such as salads, desserts, bread, and cold beverages. Prepares food by sorting, washing, peeling, and cutting fresh fruit and vegetables. Operates, break downs, and cleans all equipment assigned to the area for food preparation. Separates food waste and trash from dishes and loads and operates dishwasher. Vacuums and shampoos carpets; sweeps and mops kitchen floors, cleans windows, walls, trash cans and disposes of trash.

Requirements

• Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
• Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
• Males born after 12-31-1959 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service, see: www.sss.gov.
• Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2
• Incumbent may also be required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federally controlled facilities.
• Incumbent must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 20 pounds.
• Must be available nights, holidays and weekends.
• Must have knowledge of basic food handling techniques, personal hygiene standards and safe work procedures.
