Duties
You will coordinate all phases of work (architectural, civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, piping, HVAC, fire alarm systems, hazardous waste and environmental remediation) to ensure timely completion of projects.
You will ensure all aspects of projects including planning, safety, client coordination, scheduling, budget and project execution through in-house forces and support contracts are executed within budget and meets client needs.
You will develop government cost estimates including labor, material, equipment and performance using computer estimating technology.
You will review manufacturers data, engineering reports, product literature and other industry resources to determine applicability to various projects.
You will participate in the pre-final and final inspection to identify completeness of work with the customer, service provider and Quality Assurance.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-10 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-10) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector 1) Applying experience with mechanical construction trades (pipefitter, air condition mechanic, industrial equipment mechanic, plumber, sheet metal mechanic); 2) Applying knowledge building codes and understanding industry standards, safety regulations and OSHA standards; 3) Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematic diagrams and specifications; 4) Planning and estimating recurring, corrective maintenance, small, medium and large maintenance/repair/renovation and construction projects; 5) Applying cost estimating knowledge with the ability to prepare detailed cost estimates based on current industry techniques; and 6) Reviewing proposal for completeness, accuracy and reasonableness.
