You will serve as a Supervisory Engineering Technician in the Facilities Engineering and Acquisition Division of NAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE.
Duties
You will identify and analyze problems; weigh relevance and accuracy of information.
You will seek/generate and evaluate alternative perspectives/solutions and make timely effective recommendations, based on potential implications of findings or conclusions.
You will understand and interpret technical material, rules, regulations, and instructions.
You will identify pre and post acceptance testing on a specified product to ensure its safety, effectiveness, suitability, and survivability in an operational environment.
You will develop and promulgate engineering technical strategy, policy, guidance, and plans.
You will identify and document vulnerabilities and threats to minimize the risk or reduce the severity or probability of occurrence.
You will plan, define, develop, and document quality requirements for products, services, processes, and systems that are suitable to the activity, proportional to the risk, and consistent with established Agency guidance, practices, and standards.
You will convey written information in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience, using correct English grammar, punctuation, and spelling.
You will identify a need for and knows where or how to gather information; organizes and maintain information or information management systems.
You will apply knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, law, and regulations as they relate to engineering tech performance requirements.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) applying a comprehensive range of engineering and architectural concepts, principles, and practices related to the design and construction of equipment, site work, facilities, and utilities; 2) monitoring construction projects to successful completion while controlling time and cost growth; 3) reviewing complex and diverse technical engineering specifications, drawings, and statements of work for constructability and accuracy; 4) applying knowledge of safety and occupational health principles, practices, procedures, law, and regulations as they relate to engineering performance requirements; and 5) solving construction-related technical problems that deviate from standard or conventional practices due to such local conditions as climate, geography, environmental or due to specialized requirements of a facility or structure.
