About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Logististics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army LOG Readiness CTR, White Sands Missile Range, NM.
Position may be filled by temporary promotion, temporary reassignment, or temporary change to lower grade not to exceed 13 months.
Duties
Coordinate logistics support to serviced organizations through activities within the organization.
Interpret guidance from Agency or Command to develop local operational guidance.
Personnel Management to include planning, organizing, assigning and reviewing work.
Make technical decisions to resolve policy and logistics procedure matters involving logistics commodity.
Create reports to brief decision makers on program status and recommend actions and initiatives to enhance logistics management efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop sustainment resource requirements to ensure unit readiness and mission accomplishment.
Oversee the procurement processes and controls for use of the Government Purchase Card (GPC). Compiles, analyzes, and interprets logistics readiness information.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure statement OGE Form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.
- TDY travel may occasionally be required.
- This position may be designated as Mission Essential and or Key Essential.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes instructing others on supply program procedures; interpreting and applying regulations and policies; serving as a Property Book Officer and/or Supply Support Activity accountable officer, utilizing Global Combat Support System such as GCSS-Army and performing supervisory functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
