About the Position: You will serve as a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist for the U.S. Army Sustainment Command, 407th Army Field Support Brigade, Logisitics Readiness Center at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico.
Duties
Direct all maintenance, supply, ammunition, food service, laundry, transportation, property accountability, clothing, and other related logistical activities.
Coordinate and direct logistics mobilization planning and seek new mobilization initiatives.
Develop and recommend establishment of local procedures to govern logistical operations and management of resources.
Direct the formulation and management of the directorate-operating budget.
Assist in the development and programming of Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution System (PPBES) input requiring planning and coordination throughout the directorate and other brigade personnel.
Assign, direct, and evaluate work of the subordinate organizational elements.
Implement policies on administration and personnel management and training and utilization.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- In accordance with AR 690-11, this position has been designated as "Key" and shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization as doing so would seriously impair the capability of the organization to function effectively.
- The incumbent must be exempted from recall to active duty and will receive training to ensure mission accomplishment of sustaining base operations during mobilization.
- This position has been designated "Mission Essential".
- In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations (natural or man-made disaster) the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.
- Appointment to this position is subject to a one year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
