The Office of Capital Budgets formulates, executes, and maintains financial systems in support of Facilities and Equipment (F&E) and Research, Engineering, and Development (RE&D) budget justifications, financial plans, inquiries, and audits. The duties of this position will serve within the Capital Budgets Division, performing multiple duties and responsibilities under the direction of a branch manager.
Duties
The Financial Analyst performs multiple and varying assignments under the limited direction of a manager, project/program manager, team leader, senior analyst or more experienced professional. Demonstrates considerable independence in planning time and helping the manager or other experienced professionals with using assigned resources to accomplish projects/programs/activities. Duties may include assisting with financial planning; review/evaluation of programs; budget formulation and/or execution; audits of funding levels, sources, and program plans; and/or responding to internal and external inquiries.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
- Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
Qualifications
To qualify for this position, you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the FV-G, FG/GS-10/11 level. This experience is typically related to the line of work of the position to be filled and which has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been at least equivalent to the next lower level in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE STATEMENT:Experience performing analysis and evaluation of data to assess the effectiveness of a process.Experience applying financial concepts, principles, practices, laws, and regulations in analyzing data.
