Duties
You will advise and support the Communications Section Officer in Charge (OIC) in regard to communications planning, installation, operation and maintenance.
You will provide technical direction and recommendations for enterprise Services (voice, video and data services) that mimics information requirements.
You will recommend and implement technical solutions to support command, control, communications and computer (C4) services for communications architecture.
You will remain current in agency regulations, manuals, and policies which outline overall goals and define limitations.
You will supervise a group of employees performing work up to the GS-12 level, providing administrative and technical supervision necessary for accomplishing the work of the unit.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area DoDM 8140.03 within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Experience: Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriateGS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.

AND
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing communication systems and services for a division and its subordinate elements; AND overseeing and assisting in the management of security, installation, planning, operation, maintenance, and evolution of an IT infrastructure.
