About the Position: Serve as an Operations Officer for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security, Plans/Operations Division at Fort Sill, OK.

Duties

Responsible for supervising the planning and coordination of USAG operations resulting from AMC, IMCOM, ID-T, Fires Center of Excellence, (FCOE) Operation Orders (OPORDs), Dropped from Rolls (DFR) taskings, special events and ceremonies. Attends meetings, synchronizes staff actions, prepares and presents briefings associated with operational matters on behalf of the Garrison Commander and DPTMS Serves as an action officer for initiatives requiring coordination of USAG activities and special projects.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
  • The duties of this position may require shift work and/or work on rotating shifts to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays and in other situations.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of occasional travel.

Current Civilian Employees of the Organization In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Develops long-range program plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the Operations Security (OPSEC) program; 2) Prepares briefing slides for weekly, monthly, and quarterly Garrison Staff meetings; 3) Develops operations policy for the installation; AND 4) Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and employee capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and ManagementAttention to DetailManages and Organizes InformationManages Human Resources Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
