About the Position: Serve as an Operations Officer for the Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security, Plans/Operations Division at Fort Sill, OK.
Duties
Responsible for supervising the planning and coordination of USAG operations resulting from AMC, IMCOM, ID-T, Fires Center of Excellence, (FCOE) Operation Orders (OPORDs), Dropped from Rolls (DFR) taskings, special events and ceremonies.
Attends meetings, synchronizes staff actions, prepares and presents briefings associated with operational matters on behalf of the Garrison Commander and DPTMS
Serves as an action officer for initiatives requiring coordination of USAG activities and special projects.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
- The duties of this position may require shift work and/or work on rotating shifts to provide coverage on evenings, weekends, holidays and in other situations.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of occasional travel.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) Develops long-range program plans to evaluate the effectiveness of the Operations Security (OPSEC) program; 2) Prepares briefing slides for weekly, monthly, and quarterly Garrison Staff meetings; 3) Develops operations policy for the installation; AND 4) Assigns work to subordinates based on priorities and employee capabilities. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
