You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the REQUIREMENTS BRANCH, FACILITIES MANAGEMENT DIVSION of NAVAL FACILITIES ENG COMMAND HAWAII.
GS-09: $62,517.00-$81,272.00
GS-11: $75,640.00-$98,330.00
Duties
You will provide updates to Supported Command and NAVFAC management on all issues (i.e. facility condition) and work efforts (including outages) being accomplished for the facilities assigned.
You will meet with all Supported Commands' Points of Contacts (POC) on a periodic basis to review work efforts and requirements.
You will ensure that MAXIMO reflects an accurate CIMU and Real Property Installed Equipment (RPIE) inventory for assigned buildings and that the CIMU-RPIE relationships are established.
You will review and validate the CIMU Condition Index (CI) calculated by BUILDER and initiate inspections, as required, to update CI to reflect actual conditions.
You will provide initial diagnosis of problems within facilities or obtain assistance from other parts of the NAVFAC organization.

- You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators, and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-11:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Conducting periodic meetings/visits to identify facility problems and facilitating work execution; 2) Representing and providing advice on the Supported Command's projects; 3) Screening, classifying and submitting requests for minor and specific Shop work, as well as contracted work; 4) Utilizing software modules (e.g. MAXIMO) to keep track of inventory of assigned buildings, inspect and validate inputted data, etc.; 5) Reviewing work in progress in assigned areas and identifies issues and concerns associated with the projects; and 6) Monitoring expenditures with respect to availability of funds and coordinating with the Supported Command when additional funds are needed. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.
GS-09:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Assisting and briefing Supported Commands on Department organizations and how they work with regards to requesting work, funding jobs, and related policies; 2) Aiding in the development of scoping requirements, estimates, and facilitates induction of work within the Area of Responsibility; 3) Utilizing software modules such as MAXIMO, BUILDER, and CIMU; 4) Initiating requests for engineering design studies and identifies needs for maintenance, repair or construction project support driven either by facility conditions or by Supported Commands' changing missions; and 5) Observing work being performed to ensure all know issues are addressed prior to building occupancies. **NOTE** This information must be clearly supported in your resume.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Successful completion of a PH. D or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a doctoral degree
OR
Possession of an LL.M that is related to this position being filled.

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
GS-09:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.

A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience
