You will serve as the DEPARTMENT HEAD of the CORPORATE OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of SUBMEPP ACTIVITY.

Duties

You will be responsible for the overall administration of the business management aspects for the Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) program. You will be responsible for the development and implementation of new/changes management policies, procedures, and initiatives. You will develop and manage programs/projects and conduct studies and analyses to improve SUBMEPP business operations, administrative resources management, and security management. You will be responsible for overseeing service contracts (technical, administrative and IT), developing marketing materials and briefings regarding the Engineering Products and Services of SUBMEPP Activity. You will develop long-range plans for the staff; evaluate and redefine programs and objectives; and make decisions, or participate in making decisions, which affect other programs of SUBMEPP as well as his/her own. You will oversee the management and implementation of the Command's physical security, law enforcement, anti-terrorism and loss prevention programs. You will oversee and manage the administration of the occupational safety and health program, travel, purchase card programs and property management. You will plan, direct, coordinate and review the work of the Corporate Operations Department. You will be familiar with SUBMEPP's work and work products and have knowledge of the submarine maintenance process and interactions with SUBMEPP's customers to provide the necessary oversight.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower pay band, NH-03 (GS-13 Equivalent), in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector managing an administrative program to improve operational or personnel functions within an organization.
