The Manager of Industry Engagement will work side-by-side with directorate leadership to grow collaborative relationships with industry partners, research and advise on new opportunities, interface with internal and external customers, and represent the directorate in a multitude of interactive public settings across the various mission support related industry disciplines.

Duties

Advise senior leadership and constituencies about key efforts both inside and outside of the agency on innovative solutions to challenges across mission support enterprise organizations. Facilitate aerospace industry commercial engagement to enhance Mission Support partnerships and process improvement. Serve as speaker, panelist, and coordinator for industry engagement of Mission Support Directorate. Author white papers to provide in-depth analysis of evidence and information, that a particular solution to a mission support problem can be solved by a particular strategy. Serve as MSD’s point of contact coordinating directorate-wide support for moon to Mars architecture by integrating mission support enterprises services to ensure capabilities appropriately support and fulfill customer requirements. Provide in-depth analysis on industry practices and trends, advises on solutions and strategies for MSD, to promote the prioritization and implementation of innovative industry-based solutions to ensure consistency of approach. Exercise responsibilities advising executive leadership, and officials of other units or organizations, and management on potential industry solutions to systemic or ongoing challenges in support of achieving directorate objectives. Requirements

  • Current Federal employees must meet qualifications, time in grade, and 90 days after competitive appointment requirements by the closing date of the announcement.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work. GS-15: To qualify at the GS-15 level, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 level: Leading organizational mission support functions involving the planning and execution of multiple services agency-wide; Performing industry research resulting in recommendations to executive leaders for future collaboration and partnerships opportunities; Overseeing process improvement, strategic planning, and change management techniques which may include advocating for and introducing new concepts, products, and innovations which enable systemic organizational solution implementation.
