Duties

You will serve as the Deputy, Assistant Program Executive Officer, Engineering (DAPEO-E) for PEO Digital and Enterprise Services (PEO Digital) You will provide expert level advice and counsel to all members of the Program Management Office (PMO). You will anticipate the effects of new technologies on the strategic plans for IT programs. You will evaluate new innovations and compare capabilities to identify requirements and continually evaluate the effectiveness of the current IT policy framework. You will be responsible for assisting with PMO strategic planning activities. You will advise, coach and mentor members of the Engineering Competency to enhance individual and team performance. You will serve as a senior authoritative technical advisor in the engineering competency within PEO Digital.

• This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: experience in Defense Acquisition Program Management policies and activities; workforce recruitment, training, qualifications and professional development. Experience in weapons systems and equipment of similar technology and complexity such as Communications, intelligence and Networking systems. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
