Duties
You will plan and organize studies, coordinate work with staff and line management personnel, and conducts all phases of the program/projects.
You will provide program continuity and advice to the SPO to maintain and improve logistics operations within the AFSBn area of responsibility (AOR).
You will establish and maintain processes, procedures, and systems within the AFSBn to sustain logistics support operations and analyzes new requirements, missions, and changing operational environments
You will coordinate and direct project management over logistics operations executed by government personnel or contracts.
You will maintain an overview of military operations, training, and readiness identifying and defining logistics support requirements independent of specific requests for support.

- Position requires temporary duty (TDY) business travel approximately 25% of the time.
- This position is designated as a “Key” position. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impacting the organization to function effectively.

- The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing logistical readiness programs in areas such as supply and maintenance management, contract management, support agreements and modernization; evaluating logistical programs for compliance; and providing logistical readiness advice and guidance to ensure adequate logistical support through short- and long-range planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
