Duties
You will serve as the Maintenance Division Chief, Logistics Readiness Center (LRC) at a complex multi-mission installation, providing the full range of maintenance operations and services.
You will serve as policy advisor to the commander/director on the evaluation of the effectiveness of the LRC/installation maintenance programs.
You will oversee the non-tactical and tactical maintenance program at CONUS and OCONUS installations as applicable.
You will be responsible for calibration of all test, diagnostic and measuring equipment (TMDE) associated with LRC Maintenance Management.
You will coordinate constant and highly complex requirement issues with contractor/maintenance personnel and organizational maintenance units to ensure that military units are operationally ready and mission capable.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Incumbent is required to Travel approximately 10% of the time.
- This position is designated as a “Key” position. This position shall not be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impacting the organization’s ability to function effectively.
- This position is designated as Mission Essential.
- The position is needed to ensure facility operations in support of Continuity of Operations Programs (COOP) and/or performance of duties and completion of tasks that are mission essential functions of the organization.
- Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, (5CFR Part 2634, Subpart I USOGE, 6/08).
- Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 23 March 2006.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes directing logistical readiness programs in areas such as supply and maintenance management, contract management, support agreements and modernization; evaluating logistical programs for compliance; and providing logistical readiness advice and guidance to ensure adequate logistical support through short- and long-range planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
