About the Position: Serves as the Deputy Chief /Access to Care (ATC) Manager, Clinical Support Division within McDonald Army Health Center at Ft Eustis, Virginia.

Duties
Assesses clinic operations and appointment utilization patterns to identify bottlenecks and to maximize use of available resources.
Ensures that Managed Care Program (MCP) booking, standardized appointment types, standardized places of care, and standardized detail codes are implemented within the MTF.
Develops systems to compile and analyze statistical data to assess program effectiveness.
Work with department chiefs to prepare and guide planning for department strategic organizational and business plans, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of both.
Prepare and manage budgets for the Clinical Operations Division and performs comprehensive budgeting assistance over-site for supported clinical departments.
Incumbent uses all sources of information to assist the department staff in resolving issues and implementing solutions to various problems through automation and data processing.
Incumbent directly supervises Health Systems Clinic Administrators and Health Systems Specialist.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.

- This position has a mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination requirement and is subject to annual vaccination.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
