About the Position: Position is located at White Sands Missile Range, Commanding General, G3 with duty location of White Sands Missile Range, NM. White Sands Missile Range, NM. The Range provides Army, Navy, Air Force, DoD, and other customers with high quality services for experimentation, test, research, assessment, development, and training in support of the Nation. Duties

Responsible for receiving and processing Command tasking’s as subject-matter expert for tasking. Provide reclama to ATEC within seven days of tasking if Command is unable to satisfy the tasking. Serve as the G-3, Operations Specialist responsible for advising and providing guidance. Serve as the primary Action Officer responsible for developing or updating policies or regulations. Execute organizational administrative programs such as, internal/external communications planning, suspense tracking, resource requirements analysis and review. Assist in the planning and conduct of combined and joint services exercises involving the command and its subordinate commands. Provide coordination and continuity for ceremonial events.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance through the duration of your employment.
  • This position requires the employee to occasionally travel away from the normal duty station up to 25% of the time.
  • This is an obligated position. An obligated position is one to which an employee has statutory restoration rights or entitlement based on active military service, recovery from a commpensable injury, or return rights based on an overseas tour.
  • You will be asked to sign an agreement acknowledging that you are aware of the obligation and willing to be displaced under reduction in force procedures upon the return of the former incumbent.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) experience developing Plans Orders and Annex's Mission Command to include creating and understanding Operations Order ensuring operations policies and procedures are followed; 2)experience coordinating military ceremonies and/or Special Events In Accordance With regulatory requirement; and 3) experience using various automated system to receive and process organization tasking actions, tracking tasking, and providing status report on progress from beginning to completion of the tasking. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02/GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
