Duties

Serves as the Branch Chief of one of the Teams aligned with, and in support of the Military Services, of the Facility Sustainment Directorate (FSD) Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Energy. Reports directly to the DLA Energy Program Management Division (PMD) Chief. Supports the PMD Chief and the DLA Energy Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) program by providing advice and expertise to DLA Energy Senior Leadership regarding the execution of their SRM functional responsibilities. Oversee the integrity of all data bases required for program management and oversight. Establishes and maintains financial management control of assigned programs. Ensures the coordination of the inspection and repair schedules with Inventory Management, Distribution, the Military Service Control Points (SCPs), and the DLA Energy Regional Commands to prevent conflicts and mission disruption. Operate as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for cradle-to-grave Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization of fuels infrastructure and petroleum logistics in support of the Military Services. Maintain a broad knowledge of fuel facility infrastructure, facility operations and maintenance.

Qualifications

To qualify for a Supervisory Logistics Management Specialist, your resume and supporting documentation must support: A. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience that equipped you with the particular competencies to successfully perform the duties of the position and is directly in or related to this position. To qualify at the GS-14 level, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service, military, or private sector. Applicants must meet eligibility requirements including time-in-grade (General Schedule (GS) positions only), time-after-competitive appointment, minimum qualifications, and any other regulatory requirements by the cut-off/closing date of the announcement. Creditable specialized experience includes: Prepares reports and maintains records of work accomplishments and administrative information; researches and applies a wide range of qualitative and quantitative methods to identify, analyze, and improve branch and program effectiveness, efficiency, and work products. Performs technical and administrative work while supporting the agency's role as the DoD Executive Agent for petroleum logistics. Contributes and provides support to external audits and reports; develops and maintains regulations, manuals, SOPs, and policy documents. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic, religious, spiritual, community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
