If selected, you will be responsible for achieving Patent business priorities in automation development.

Duties

The physical worksite for this position is located in Alexandria, Virginia.This position is telework eligible per agency and business unit discretion/policy. This job may be for you If you're looking to be involved in resolving critical problems and implementing new technologies and: - You want to develop and communicate long-term project goals and objectives and negotiates project plans. - You want to play a key role in creating, planning, and developing complex IT systems specifically designed to meet automation needs of domestic and international patent information requirements. - You are highly effective in managing, leading and administering project resources. - You use excellent interpersonal skills to communicate project needs, issues, timelines and status to supervisor. - You have experience in developing, modifying or providing input to project plan. Designs and conducts analytical studies, cost-benefit analysis and other research.

Qualifications

You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. You must meet all eligibility and qualifications requirements by the closing date of the job announcement. Specialized Experienceis experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, the next lower grade level is a GS-12. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with the design, development, analysis, implementation, and evaluation of multiple software and/or hardware systems to develop plans, schedules, provide technical input to statements of work, task orders, and other acquisition related documents, estimating resource requirements, defining milestones and deliverables, monitoring activities, and evaluating and reporting on accomplishments in order to manage IT projects, identify risks, and incorporate solutions into project plans. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Education

Education may not be substituted for specialized experience at this grade level.
